Although it's compatible with indoor and outdoor use, it shouldn't be placed in direct sunlight when used outdoors. Once fruit, vegetables, nuts, or other foods are placed on the 8⁴⁄₅-inch-diameter by 3⁴⁄₅-inch-tall unit, its provides an accurate weight in ¹⁄₁₀₀-pound increments which is shown on its LCD display.
